Helping students analyse problems, question assumptions and make confident, informed decisions for school and future workplaces. This program fits neatly in the Australian Blueprint for Career Education.
This program will be online and animated late 2026.
Impowrd's Critical Thinking online program is a comprehensive educational resource designed to develop and strengthen critical thinking capabilities across a wide range of contexts. The program aligns with the National Career Education Strategy Blueprint by supporting key career competencies such as problem solving, adaptability, lifelong learning, effective communication, and self-awareness.
Structured over eight modules and 31 lessons, the program guides learners through foundational and advanced principles of critical thinking.
Beginning with the definition and historical context of critical thinking and metacognition, participants explore logical reasoning, open-mindedness, and the practice of analysis and scepticism. The course further expands on essential skills like non-linear thinking, data organisation, bias recognition, and deductive/inductive reasoning. Later modules focus on the characteristics of an effective critical thinker—including curiosity, humility, active listening, emotional intelligence, and objectivity—before progressing into strategies for evaluating information and problem-solving using structured cognitive techniques.
The final stages of the program centre on applying skills in real-world scenarios, maintaining a mindset of continual improvement, and integrating critical thinking with creative processes.
With four integrated activities to reinforce learning outcomes, the program empowers learners to become more reflective, informed, and strategic thinkers—skills that are vital for personal and professional growth in an ever-changing workforce landscape.
This program will be online and animated late 2026.
