The Developing Social Skills (for the workplace) program is endorsed in Western Australia for one unit (5 points) on the WACE. The program teaches young people how to behave in the workplace.

Developing Social Skills (for the Workplace) is an endorsed program in Western Australia designed for young people aged 13 to 18. It equips learners with practical social and interpersonal skills essential for both professional and everyday settings. Delivered through engaging animated videos, quizzes, a workbook, and a final exam, the program ensures a structured and interactive learning experience.
The program is divided into three modules:
Module One: Physical Intellect
-
Focuses on emotional awareness, positive self-dialogue, resilience, and social network understanding.
Module Two: Business and Social Manners
-
Covers group dynamics, courtesies, manners, inclusive communication, and conversation skills.
Module Three: Personal Presentation and Dress Codes
-
Teaches the importance of first impressions, appropriate attire, and presentation across contexts.
Upon completion, students must apply their knowledge by downloading and completing a Workbook. They also complete a final exam of up to 60 questions. While specifically endorsed in Western Australia, the program also supports the National Blueprint for Career Education by developing key capabilities such as communication, cultural awareness, self-management, and workplace readiness—empowering students with the social tools needed to thrive in their future careers.
